Free Throws for Kids (FTFK)

FTFK1

On March 28th, one of E-Tech’s employees (Matt is the hard-to-miss guy in the middle) participated in Free Throws for Kids as part of Team Bricklayers. FTFK is an organization raising money to benefit families that have children requiring extended visits in the Pediatric, Neonatal, and Cardiac Intensive Care Units at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. This year there were 50 teams totaling 422 shooters. Each team works to raise at least $1,000 through sponsors and pledges, and shoots 500 free throws. This year’s event raised $95,000, with 100% of the money raised going to families in need. These funds help pay for gift baskets with items like gas cards, gift cards for the hospital cafeteria, toiletries and precooked Dream Dinners.  Read more about this event …

E-Tech’s task on this day was to prepare drywall for mudding, hang siding on the outside of the house and replace soffits (shown above).  The above right picture is a house that E-Tech helped demo in the Finneytown area of Cincinnati.  Read more about this charity…
