What type of engineer are you? Do you have a degree? If so, what was your discipline?
I am a Lead Automation Engineer. I have my Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
What made you get into this line of work? What made you realize this was the right career path for you?
Future career growth and flexibility to switch to different disciplines such as Project Management and Sales.
What excites you about the field?
Working on new projects which provide opportunities to develop technically. Its exciting to meet new people (Clients) and collaborate with them to come up with creative solutions.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing engineering?
Hop on! Its an exciting field which opens doors to lots of opportunities. Be prepared to travel, learn and have fun.
What was your favorite project to work on?
SCADA and Data Historian upgrade project for a Biopharma start-up.
What do you like most about working at E Tech?
I like the work-life balance that the company not only encourages but also facilitates. I also like the fact that employees get autonomy in doing their work and are provided with leadership opportunities.
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do outside of work?
Hiking, biking, exploring outdoors, beach walks, reading books and spending quality time with friends and family.
Anything else you would want to share about yourself?
I entered the world of “Automation” with a little experience in this field and now when I look back, its amazing to see how much I have grown. I am glad to be contributing to the Biopharma industry and making a difference in my own small way.

What type of engineer are you? Do you have a degree? If so, what was your discipline?
I am an electrical engineer and an automation specialist by profession. I have led technical teams as a lead engineer. My current primary focus is project management, as well as collaborative business development and strategic planning.
What made you get into this line of work? What made you realize this was the right career path for you?
From when I was a kid, I knew I wanted to make a thing that made other stuff – I later found out this was called automation and studying electrical engineering would allow me to pursue this career aspiration.
What excites you about the field?
My automation experience is an intersection of electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering disciplines. This fascinating interplay had made for interesting projects that requires complex and creative problem solving.
My current career focus on project management and stakeholder management adds an additional layer of human unpredictability to the mix.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in pursuing engineering?
Don’t limit yourself to what you have assumed. Be occasionally skeptical about what is considered “obvious”. Be open to different perspectives and see if a problem can be solved in multiple ways.
What was your favorite project to work on?
As an engineer – Projects related to brewing processes and automation. The things I learned allowed me to apply my experiences to all the other industries I have worked.
As a Project manager – Projects with multiple components of Fabrication, Subcontractors, multiple teams, and multi phases project components.
What do you like most about working at E Tech?
E Technologies allows for a variety of projects and teams structures. I also appreciate being able to creatively develop customers and project opportunities by strategically collaborating with technical and managerial colleagues to serve our customers.
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do outside of work?
Road Biking and Mountain Biking to seek out epic views, Running, Music production, watch movies, and recommending movies to others.
